This picture is one of my new favorites. Caption can read : "Don't worry miss, now that I'm here, everything's going to be ok." Those pj's are the best thing that I've ever purchased from Walmart...
OK, so I pretty much underestimated how busy and tired I was going to be during baseball season. When I say baseball season, I mean coaching baseball. Coaching was a Monday through Friday commitment (with occasional Saturdays) and involved extended practices or games that brought me home somewhere between 7-8 every day. Then, dinner, time with the fam, occasional games at Yankees stadium, and miraculously enough, grading and school prep filled my nights before I crashed into bed and tried to get as much sleep as I could before starting all over (ok, that's an awkward run-on sentence, but I'm not fixing it!)
Anyways, baseball season is now over and I've started the countdown to the end of the year already. All my classes are planned out to finals week, my time after school is free again, and I'm starting to feel the end of the year approaching rapidly! So, hopefully this means that I can start blogging somewhat regularly again. As with every summer, I already have a very long list of things that I want to do (which I'll share with you in a future post) and I can't wait to get started! But first, I have to get through the last few weeks of classes, grading the final exams, writing reports for all my students, and sitting through terribly dull faculty meetings first. But, for RIGHT now (and possibly the next few days), I'm in a lull and can be wonderfully and blissfully bored with nothing to do but watch Yankees games and play with the kids. I don't even have any grading to do right now....but, I will tomorrow. Oh well. Tonight I'm going to enjoy the downtime and celebrate with this blog post and an early night's sleep.
Of course, tonight Shannon is working the night shift, so that means that I'm on Zoƫ duty. What that means is that I'll have to wake up every 2-3 hours to feed her and hope that she falls back asleep. If she doesn't then that means that I'll have to walk her around back to sleep, which usually takes about 20-30 minutes of pacing back and forth in a sleepy fog. Then, sleep for 1.5-2.5 hours and repeat. Oy. Hopefully she's good tonight, but just in case she isn't, I'm going to get ready and quickly go to bed now. Wish me luck and hope to post again soon!
Also, if you haven't looked recently, there are some new pictures posted on shutterfly. Sadly, I found out a few weeks ago that my camera is seriously damaged and that the repairs that would be necessary are not worth it. I'm already working on getting a new camera, but for now (and for the next few weeks), I will be camera-less. :( But, perhaps this will just encourage me to work on my camcorder skills and then I can post some movies here!
